Frequently Asked Questions
Can’t find what you’re looking for?
No worries — even the trickiest questions are welcome here!
1
Do I need an art or performance education to participate?
No. Art & Performance Camp welcomes artists with different backgrounds, including those without formal education. We understand that academic training is not accessible to everyone, and many artists develop their practice independently. Our aim is to support emerging artists, create a collaborative environment, and offer space for experimentation and growth. Self-taught artists and performers are warmly welcome to apply.
2
Do I have to pay?
No. Participation in the Art & Performance Camp is free of charge. Travel costs will be reimbursed within a limited budget. The organizers will provide accommodation and meals during the camp. Your contribution is your time, participation, and engagement in the program. Please note that you may want to bring some personal spending money for small expenses or anything you might want to buy (for flea market, personal snacks, etc).
3
When will the application results be announced?
All applicants will be informed about the results of the selection process no later than 11 May 2026. Notifications will be sent via the email address provided in the application form. Please make sure to check your inbox (and spam folder) around that time. If you are selected, the message will also include further information about the next steps and participation in the camp.
4
How does a day at the camp look?
The program will include group activities and workshops related to the camp’s topic with inputs by invited guest artists. We will go on group excursions and a guided bicycle tour into nature, where we will let ourselves be inspired by the surroundings while also receiving an introduction to local history. Cultural country evenings, shared meals, and personal as well as artistic exchange among participants are central elements of the camp. There will also be free time to enjoy the summer and swim in the lake, as well as a campfire evening where participants can spend informal time together. We want to create a trusting, creative, and inspiring atmosphere in which everyone feels comfortable and has a good time.
5
What are my responsibilities during the camp?
The most important thing is to be present, engaged, and interested in the program. We expect participants to actively take part in workshops, discussions, and group activities. To help the camp run smoothly, we will also have a simple shared schedule for small tasks such as helping in the kitchen or with basic cleaning. These responsibilities will not take much time and will not interfere with the main activities of the camp, but participants should be ready to contribute and support the community.
