Art & Performance Camp is a 14-day international summer program in Gartow, Germany for emerging visual and performance artists (18–26) connected to Belarus, Serbia, Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine, or Germany. This year’s theme "Outside" explores art in dialogue with landscape, materials, and the elements. Read the invitation letter and apply to become part of an international community of artists.
WHO IS BEHIND THE CAMP?
We are volunteers united by our passion for art and cultural collaboration. By supporting young artists from our countries, we aim to make important social issues visible and encourage open dialogue through creative work. We believe art can brighten culture and connect people across borders.
What does a normal day at ART CAMP
look like?
The program will include group activities and workshops related to the camp’s topic with inputs by invited guest artists. We will go on group excursions and a guided bicycle tour into nature, where we will let ourselves be inspired by the surroundings while also receiving an introduction to local history. Cultural country evenings, shared meals, and personal as well as artistic exchange among participants are central elements of the camp. There will also be free time to enjoy the summer and swim in the lake, as well as a campfire evening where participants can spend informal time together. We want to create a trusting, creative, and inspiring atmosphere in which everyone feels comfortable and has a good time.
